Welcome to ASE Martial Arts Supply

Welcome to ASE Martial Arts Supply at asemartialarts.com. Our website is relatively new, but we've been around since 1992. This site contains only a small portion of our inventory, and we will be expanding it regularly. Items we have that are not listed on the site include a variety of high quality karategi (uniforms), kumite (sparring) gear, and other martial arts equipment in brands such as Tokaido, Adidas, Tokon, Macho, Champ, and Tsunami Video in addition to our own ASE brand.

We are starting our online store with one of our best product lines, Champ videos. As an authorized distributor, ASE Martial Arts Supply imports these videos directly from Champ Co., Ltd., of Tokyo, Japan. Champ produces a variety of karate and kobudo titles. These DVDs are of exceptional quality in both content and in production value. Being from Japan, some of these videos are in Japanese language only, but a few have complete English tracks, and many have some English. Language isn't really a problem for karate tournament videos, but it can make understanding kata videos more difficult. Even so, there's a lot you can learn from these exclusive DVDs. See the product pages for more info on language content.

Some of our most popular DVDs cover various karate tournaments. We have WKF (World Karate Federation) world championships and JKF (Japan Karatedo Federation) all Japan championships, as well as JKA (Japan Karate Association) world championships and JKA all Japan national championships. These typically include both kumite (sparring) and kata (forms). There are even compilation videos of the bouts that led to championships for such great athletes as George Kotaka and Rafael Aghayev.

We also have many Champ instructional videos. We have kata videos on Shito Ryu, Ryuei Ryu, Wado Ryu, Goju Ryu, and Shotokan karate, including some on Shitei Kata. Kata videos typically show a kata from various angles and at full speed and slow motion and include bunkai (application) of the kata. Other instructional videos include seminars by kumite world champions Elisa Au and George Kotaka as well as kobudo instruction by the late Soke Teruo Hayashi of Hayashi-Ha Shito Ryu.
